Project Upstream requests feedback

Hello, readers of themissinghat. We are Project Upstream.

Recently, we have noticed this community taking an interest in us -- and specifically, our Salmon-themed AIM bots. We respect your curiosity, and in order to foster an open relationship between Project Upstream and themissinghat, we would like members of your community to provide us with feedback.

All interested individuals are encouraged to speak directly to us, saying whatever they would like, by making comments on this entry. Submit feedback, or ask us questions; it is up to you.

Unfortunately, the nature of our operation requires certain information about us to be kept out of the public eye. For that reason, we will respond to comments, and answer questions, at our discretion only. But don't let that stop you from making some great comments on this entry! We look forward to reading them all.

The first and only time I got salmoned, neither I nor the person on the other end of the line knew what was going on, and it was really awkward and painful- it didn't lead to good results or an interesting conversation.

If there was a way to ensure that at least one of the people involved knew what was going on, it would be a lot more fun in general, even if it took a little mystery out of the experience.

And what's with the only-once? I'd like to be hit again, if possible.
I don't think it's only once - I've gotten hit NUMEROUS times. x_X;
Wasn't saying it was only once for everyone, but that it's only happened once to ME.

And because I've seen other people getting hit so many times, I feel totally jipped. ;_;
I want to be salmoned again, yeah, since the last three I got hit with were me being an asshat because no one linked me and I didn't know what was going on.

Or maybe this concept could be sold to AIM. "Connect randomly if you're bored!"

Ageis J. Hyena, signing off, over and out.
Oh god not sold to AIM. At least most LiveJournal users are somewhat interested in intelligent discussion and proper grammar + spelling, whereas the majority of AIM users would be like "omg wtf lol k l8r."
LOL so true!

Btw, total icon love.
Gotta love Linnell. <3
